Terriers tie up Rhodes capture

Huddersfield Town boss Lee Clark has continued his busy summer of rebuilding by landing Ipswich Town teenager Jordan Rhodes on a four year-deal.

The 19-year-old striker is Town's sixth capture since the end of last season following the arrivals of Lee Peltier, Peter Clarke, Theo Robinson, Robbie Simpson and Antony Kay.

Clark said of his latest signing: "It's been a long time coming. We saw him playing for Brentford last season and we were very impressed and we actually tried to get him then.

"When Jim Magilton was in charge we contacted Ipswich to try and get a loan deal done when the window was open, but he'd just picked up a metatarsal injury at the time and his season was over.

"We've just kept monitoring the situation since then and we're absolutely delighted to get him on board."
