    Terriers sign striker Jevons

    10 Jan 2008 - 12:00:12

Huddersfield Town have completed the permanent signing of striker Phil Jevons from Bristol City.

Jevons, 28, netted four times in ten appearances while on loan with the Terriers this season and has now joined the League One club on a two-and-a-half year contract.

"The signing of Phil is fantastic for the club," Town boss Andy Ritchie told the club's official website.

"We have been chasing him for a long time, but we have managed to secure the signature of a proven goalscorer.

"I still think he is one or two games away from being match-fit, but he offers so much to the team other than just goals in terms of link-up play and I am delighted to have him here.

"He has made a positive impact in his short time with us so far and I am certain that will continue."
