Terriers moves fall through

Huddersfield Town boss Andy Ritchie has revealed Blackpool's proposed move for Chris Brandon has fallen through. The Terriers winger spent two months on loan at Bloomfield Road last season and was given permission to speak to Seasiders boss Simon Grayson over a permanent transfer. But Ritchie has revealed the deal has fallen through - along with his own attempts to bolster his squad with a loan signing. He told the club's official website: "I think Chris' possible move to Blackpool is dead in the water now. "The interest seems to have waned for whatever reason and I've spoken to Chris about it. As I've always said, I'm more than happy to have him here. "Unfortunately, our perspective loan deal has been scuppered as well. "We were looking at Lee Holmes from Derby County on a long-term loan, but when they went up to the Premiership his contract was enhanced and it's now a little bit out of our range."
