Terriers land winger Roberts

Huddersfield Town boss Stan Ternent has snapped up Ipswich Town winger Gary Roberts on a two-year deal.

The 24-year old moves to the Galpharm Stadium for an undisclosed transfer fee after making 59 appearances for the Tractor Boys.

Ternent told the club's official website: "Gary's an extremely good player, whose preferred position is the left wing.

"However, he can play with a striker and on the right-hand side. He's good quality and is another piece of the jigsaw.

"I expect big things from him, as he's a talented lad. He can score goals as well as create them and he's definitely a forward-going player.

"We were lacking width on the left-hand side of our squad and I've been chasing him for some time now, so I'm delighted to get him."
