Huddersfield Town teenager James Berrett has penned a new two-year contract before heading to Malaysia to play for the Republic of Ireland Under-21s in this summer's Intercontinental Cup tournament.
The 19-year-old midfielder made 17 appearances for the Terriers in the second half of the season after making his first start for the club in January.
Berrett told Town's official website: "I'm really pleased to have my contract sorted before I go to Malaysia, as I don't have to think about it now - I can just concentrate on my football.
"It was nice to know that the gaffer wanted me to stay and it's all gone through quickly.
"It's now up to me to force my way into the team when the season starts."
