Keogh earns Ritchie praise
03 Sep 2007 - 17:58:33
Huddersfield Town loanee Richard Keogh earned high praise from manager Andy Ritchie after an impressive Terriers debut in the 2-1 win at Millwall.
The 21-year-old Bristol City stopper made an instant impact with Town and Ritchie was delighted with his new recruit.
He told the Daily Examiner: "He's what I like to call an old-fashioned type of centre-back, he heads it, kicks it and runs out of the box.
"He's a big, strong lad who was outstanding with Bristol City last season and he is just the sort of person we are looking for, a good character who gives it his all.
"For his debut, I thought he was immense and it was a massive win for the whole club."
Keogh himself added: "I'm not in the side at Bristol City at the moment and if that situation doesn't change, then obviously I would love to stay here."
