Huddersfield Town have signed striker Steve Jones on an initial month's loan from Championship side Burnley.

The 31-year-old Northern Ireland international has yet to feature for the Clarets this season, having struggled to make his mark since his arrival at Turf Moor in the summer of 2006.

Jones has scored six goals in 65 appearances for Burnley, having previously made his name during spells with Crewe Alexandra and non-league Leigh RMI.

Clarets boss Owen Coyle told the club's official website: "Steve will be joining Huddersfield for a month initially with our best wishes.

"He goes there with the chance to play some games and we'll take it from there."
