Jevons makes Terriers mark
03 Dec 2007 - 12:29:11
Huddersfield Town boss Andy Ritchie was full of praise for Phil Jevons after the loanee's double strike in the 3-0 FA Cup second round win over Grimsby Town.
Jevons, on loan from Bristol City, marked his first Terriers start in style, helping Town secure a third round home clash with Birmingham City.
Ritchie told the club's official website: "We've brought Phil in and I just feel that we need to play him.
"He could have had a hat-trick just before he came off, but he admitted that his legs had gone and he got it stuck under his feet a little bit.
"He's made a real impact, but I wouldn't want to single him out as there were tremendous performances all over the pitch."
