Jevons joins Morecambe

Morecambe have signed striker Phil Jevons on a permanent deal following his release from Huddersfield.Jevons enjoyed a highly successful loan spell with the Shrimps last term and has now put pen to paper on a two-year deal.The 30-year-old, who scored 19 times last season, said: "I really enjoyed my football again at Morecambe last year."I think we surprised a few people by getting to the play-offs and I think we can carry on that success this season."I'm looking forward to playing at the new stadium and being part of what should be an exciting time for the club."
