Jepson enjoys victory boost
09 Sep 2008 - 13:53:18
Huddersfield Town assistant manager Ronnie Jepson was pleased to see his side register their first league win of the season with a 2-1 victory at Cheltenham Town.
Goals from Nat Clarke and Ian Craney earned the Terriers all three points at Whaddon Road, after the visitors had trailed 1-0 at the interval.
Jepson told the Daily Examiner: "Our situation reminds me of when Neil Warnock took over here.
"It's a case of changing the philosophy and culture within the club. We want to be up there challenging for promotion, but it takes time.
"It's been a tough few weeks for the lads and the manager and I'm delighted for them and our supporters.
"Like us, Cheltenham had lost three in a row coming into this game and we knew they would be up for it. We wanted to weather the storm in the first half, but we let them get the opener.
"We didn't shout and bawl at half-time. We just explained one or two things and tried to boost the lads' confidence."
