Jackson vows to fight on

Under-fire Huddersfield Town manager Peter Jackson has vowed to remain at the helm of the struggling West Yorkshire club.
The Terriers slipped to 14th in the table following Saturday's 3-0 defeat by Oldham - their fifth successive game without a victory - and afterwards a number of unhappy supporters turned on Jackson and chairman Ken Davy.
"I'm going through my toughest spell as a manager," Jackson told the Huddersfield Examiner. "But my resolve remains strong and I'm determined to get us back on track.
"The Oldham game was highly disappointing for everyone connected with the club, and for the players and myself to come under such fire from the fans was obviously unpleasant.
"But I've enjoyed a lot of highs during my two spells at the helm here and I have to be big enough to take the stick.
"It's down to me to respond positively and do everything in my power to get us back on track."
