Paterson back in Terriers frame
Huddersfield striker Martin Paterson could return to the squad for the home game against Reading.
Paterson, restricted to 13 appearances this season, has missed the last two games due to a hamstring injury, but is edging closer to a return and could be included.
Manager Mark Robins has no new injury or suspension issues following last week's defeat at Ipswich, but will still be without skipper Peter Clarke, who could be out for another two months as he recovers from medial knee ligament damage.
Winger Danny Ward recently sustained a dead-leg, but should be available after playing for 60 minutes at Ipswich. Town have won three of their previous four league matches.
Reading will be without Danny Guthrie through suspension as well as a host of injured players.
Guthrie was booked for the fifth time this season during last weekend's 2-1 defeat by Bournemouth and serves a one-match ban.
Fellow midfielder Chris Baird has a sprained ankle and defenders Wayne Bridge and Sean Morrison are likely to be out until the new year with knee injuries.
Jem Karacan (cruciate), Mikele Leigertwood (ankle) and Jason Roberts (hip) are recovering from long-term injuries but winger Royston Drenthe (foot) made his first appearance since September as a sub against the Cherries so he should be involved again.
