Fresh Brandon injury blow

Friday Sep 08 2006 09:41

Huddersfield have been hit by the news midfielder Chris Brandon will miss the next three games after picking up a badly-infected toe.

The 30-year-old has already missed the last four matches with an ankle injury he suffered during the victory against Bristol City at the start of the League One campaign.

He was due to have returned to full training by now but the toe problem has put back his fitness plans and he will definitely miss this weekend's trip to Cheltenham and the following visits of Doncaster and Yeovil.

Meanwhile Town boss Peter Jackson has revealed that he will defend himself against an FA charge of improper conduct following a bust-up with Robins midfielder Lee Johnson during the same game Brandon was injured in on August 12.

He said: "I'm waiting for the FA to get back to me with a date for a personal hearing and will be defending myself."
