    Danny opts for Terriers

    01 Jun 2007 - 12:50:01

Huddersfield Town have agreed a two-year contract with well-travelled striker Danny Cadamarteri.

The 27-year-old was a free agent following a short spell with Leicester City and chose to join the Terriers ahead of interest from Doncaster Rovers and Millwall.

Town boss Andy Ritchie told the club's official website: "I'm over the moon to be honest and I think it's a real coup.

"We've been chasing him for a while and it's great to finally get it sorted. He's had other offers from other clubs, but he wanted to come here.

"He's got plenty of pace and can play in one of three positions. He's comfortable on either wing, but I bought him primarily as a striker.

"He can get in behind defences with his pace, but he can hold the ball up as well. I think he's exactly what we need."
