Clark slams Abbott rumours

Huddersfield Town boss Lee Clark has dismissed speculation linking him with a move to bring striker Pawel Abbott back to the club.

The 27-year-old is set to leave crisis club Darlington this summer, but Clark is not interested in the former Terriers ace.

He told the Daily Examiner: "No disrespect to Pawel, but he's not a target and I've had no contact with Darlington.

"It seems our name is being used by clubs and agents who think we have money to spend and that by saying we are interested in a player, it will spark a bidding war.

"It's very frustrating, not least because it means I have to field calls over players I am not interested in, therefore preventing me from working on deals for those I do want to sign."
