Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark is hoping to improve his squad further still before the start of the new season.

He has three players on his wish list and chairman Dean Hoyle has offered his backing in his pursuit of the players.

Speaking to the club's official website, Clark said: "Potentially we could have a few more arrivals before the start of the season.

"In an ideal world I want competition in every position, but whether that happens I don't know.

"What I will say is that I have been given unbelievable backing by Dean Hoyle to bring in the players I have so far and I have been given the green light to get the players I am after now and that is terrific.

"If I get the three players in mind I will be happy to close the door and keep the squad together.
