Clark allows trialists to depart
19 Jul 2010 - 14:12:08
Huddersfield Town have opted to release trialists John Rooney and Calum Hare as their pre-season preparations continue.
Rooney, who is with Macclesfield Town, and Australian midfielder Hare, have been told they will not be handed contracts after their brief spell at the Galpharm Stadium.
Meanwhile, star striker Jordan Rhodes suffered a leg injury in the 1-1 draw with Bury over the weekend and boss Lee Clark is hoping the problem isn't serious.
Speaking to the Huddersfield Examiner, he said: "We thank them both for their efforts, but they will not be staying with us.
"They have worked well with us, but the decision has been made to let them go. We wish them well and we move on.
"Jordan got a nasty whack on the outside of his left leg and we're just hoping it will settle down. It did ease a little before he left the ground and hopefully that will continue to be the case.
"We will have another look at him when we report back for training and. If it is still proving painful, then we will get him X-rayed."
