Huddersfield Town stalwart Andy Booth has penned a one-year deal with the Terriers just 24 hours after Stan Ternent was confirmed as the new manager at the Galpharm Stadium.
The 34-year-old striker has found the net 124 times in 371 League appearances for Town during two prolific spells with the West Yorkshire side.
A delighted Ternent told Town's official website: "I knew he was out of contract and I wanted to sort it out as quickly as I possibly could.
"I see him as an integral part of my team next year and I'm delighted he's decided to stay with us.
"He's the first of a few players that I want to talk to and he epitomises the type of player that I like to deal with.
"No one can doubt his commitment to the club, but Andy Booth is good enough, he's a proper player and that's why I wanted him to sign."
