Huddersfield defender Gary Naysmith has been told to be patient as he closes in on a return from long-term injury. The 32-year-old summer signing from Sheffield United has been sidelined since August after sustaining a toe injury that required surgery in September and has made only two league appearances for the Terriers. Boss Lee Clark said: "Gary's progressing OK. But there are still one or two little issues to sort before he can be back training with us on a day-to-day basis, doing everything that everyone else is doing. "We're probably looking at another three or four weeks but the timescale was always going to be difficult to judge. "Even for the surgeon who carried out Gary's operation, it was difficult for him to say how long he would be in recovery because it's such a unique type of injury "We are comfortable and relaxed about the fact it's going to take a little more time. We just want to make sure he is 100%."
