Terriers sweating on duo

Huddersfield defenders Jamie McCombe and Liam Ridehalgh are both doubtful for the clash at Carlisle. McCombe missed the 4-1 defeat at Southampton due to illness and Ridehalgh, a first-half substitute on Tuesday, is struggling with the same virus. Manager Lee Clark has no new injury or suspension problems but could be tempted to make changes following successive defeats. Midfielder Joey Gudjonsson and on-loan teenage Arsenal striker Benik Afobe are both pushing for recalls to the starting line-up after stepping off the substitutes' bench at Southampton. But Clark will definitely be without long-term absentees Gary Naysmith (toe) and on-loan Plymouth midfielder Damien Johnson, ruled out for the rest of the season with knee ligament damage. The Terriers have slipped to fourth in the table after defeats to Hartlepool and Southampton in their last two matches, but remain only one point behind second-placed Sheffield Wednesday.
