Nathan Clarke could return to Huddersfield`s squad for the first time this season against Peterborough in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. The 26-year-old defender, yet to appear for the Terriers this season due to knee ligament damage sustained during pre-season, is expected to return to the substitutes' bench. Town will be without suspended defender Jamie McCombe, who sits out a one-game ban after receiving two yellow cards in Saturday's home defeat to Bristol Rovers. Goalkeeper Alex Smithies and midfielder Scott Arfield are on international duty for England and Scotland Under-21s squads respectively. Manager Lee Clark has no other new injury or suspension problems, but long-term absentees Tom Clarke (knee), Gary Naysmith (foot) and Gary Roberts (broken arm) remain sidelined.
