Novak: It`s tough on sidelines

Huddersfield striker Lee Novak admits increased competition for places this season is making it difficult for him to win back his place in the side. Novak, who fired 14 goals last season, has started on the substitutes' bench in all three of the Terriers' matches so far this time around. Novak told the Huddersfield Examiner: "The injury has cleared up and I'm working hard in training to push for a place, although with the stiff competition we have, it's tough. "Joe Garner has come in and added variety to our strikeforce, and I think alongside Jordan Rhodes, Theo Robinson and myself, we all offer something different." Novak added a note of caution ahead of Saturday's clash at Peterborough, who were trounced 5-1 at newly-promoted Bournemouth last weekend. He said: "You can't afford to switch off, because any side can turn it on. Peterborough are a good team, who will want to bounce back."
