Huddersfield Town goalkeeper Alex Smithies will have an operation on Wednesday for his damaged ligaments and could be out for up to two months. The 20-year-old was replaced by Ian Bennett for Tuesday's 4-0 defeat at Carlisle, but manager Lee Clark will not look for a replacement. [LNB]He told BBC Radio Leeds: "We've seen what Ian Bennett can do and he couldn't have done anything for the goals. [LNB]"We know that Ian Bennett is a more than capable goalkeeper." [LNB]He continued: "The answer isn't to keep delving into the market - these players are good enough, they've under-performed massively tonight. [LNB]"I need to find out the reasons why as the manager, and what I'm saying is that I've under-performed as well." [LNB]There are further injury problems for Clark, with Newcastle loanee defender Tamas Kadar likely to miss the rest of his month with the club after picking up an in injury in Saturday's win at Walsall. [LNB]"Tamas will be out for two to three weeks with a small hamstring tear which is basically the duration of his loan," he said.
