Lynch back for Terriers

Defender Joel Lynch is back from suspension for Huddersfield's Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Wednesday.

The centre-back completed a one-match suspension for the Boxing Day draw with Blackpool after accruing five yellow cards, but returns against the Owls.

He could slot in alongside Anthony Gerrard, the Terriers' goalscorer against the Seasiders, who discovered on Thursday that his appeal for a red card against Crystal Palace was successful.

However, striker Alan Lee will finish the three-game suspension he was given for violent conduct.

Manager Simon Grayson will run the rule over full-back Calum Woods and winger Danny Ward, who both picked up knocks in the Seasiders clash.

Midfielder Oscar Gobern (ankle) is definitely out as he continues his recuperation from surgery.

Resurgent Wednesday are likely to be unchanged as they chase their fourth successive victory.

Dave Jones' side will travel to West Yorkshire on the back of triumphs over Barnsley, Charlton and Bolton, which has lifted them out of the npower Championship relegation zone.

On-loan striker Mamady Sidibe repaid Jones' faith in his decision to recall him to the starting line-up with the game's only goal against the Trotters.

That is likely to be enough to keep him in the XI so Gary Madine and Chris O'Grady could occupy the bench while Jay Bothroyd (ankle) may again miss out.

The Owls are unlikely to risk Jose Semedo, who is struggling with a cut to his knee.

Centre-back Reda Johnson made his return from a foot injury on Boxing Day and is expected to retain his spot provided he has no adverse reaction.
