Duo missing for Terriers

Huddersfield will be without midfielder Keith Southern and striker Daniel Carr for the home game against Ipswich.

Southern is struggling with a groin problem and Carr has a knee injury, while James Vaughan, out for the rest of the season, will undergo surgery to remove a cyst from his knee on Thursday.

Manager Mark Robins has no new injury or suspension problems, but has hinted at several changes as his side chase their first win in eight matches.

Danish teenager Phillip Billing is hoping to make his first appearance after he was included in the first-team squad for the first time as an unused substitute in Saturday's home defeat to Bolton.

Ipswich manager Mick McCarthy has no fresh injury concerns.

McCarthy revealed some of his squad were left nursing bumps and bruises following Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Blackburn but insisted they would be ready to go on Tuesday.

Striker Paul Taylor will be part of the travelling party after overcoming illness, while fellow frontman David McGoldrick is ahead of schedule on his return from a knee injury and could be fit for the play-offs should Town make them.

That looks increasingly unlikely after the setback at Ewood Park left them ninth, five points adrift of the top six.
