David Wagner could mix things up for Huddersfield's clash with Derby

Huddersfield head coach David Wagner has hinted he could make changes against Derby as his side bids to avoid a third straight defeat.

Wagner has no new injury or suspension problems after the midweek defeat at Preston but may freshen up his line-up for a third fixture in eight days.

Forward Joe Lolley is still out with a long-term foot injury and Philip Billing is scheduled to appear for the Under-23s on Friday.

On-loan Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer, striker Nahki Wells and forward Harry Bunn are among those pushing for recalls.

Will Hughes trained on Thursday and could be fit for Derby. The England Under-21 midfielder suffered a back injury during the goalless draw with Brentford in midweek and had to be replaced by Craig Bryson after just 24 minutes.

With Bryson set to serve a one-match ban after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season against the Bees, Rams boss Steve McClaren will hope Hughes is fit.

Marcus Olsson is also training again after injury and he comes into contention to fill the left-back spot given that Max Lowe (groin) is out. Chris Baird started at left-back on Tuesday night.

Central defender Jason Shackell (calf) and forward Nick Blackman (knee) remain unavailable to McClaren as he looks to build on a win and a draw from his first two matches back at the helm.
