Banned Hunt misses out

Huddersfield will be without Jack Hunt for the visit of Bristol City as the right-back serves the first game of a two-match suspension.

The 21-year-old received a straight red for violent conduct in the final minutes of the Terriers' 4-0 defeat at Millwall last Saturday and former Liverpool trainee Calum Woods could deputise.

Manager Simon Grayson could also be deprived of the services of joint top scorer James Vaughan.

The on-loan Norwich forward missed the trip to the Den last weekend with a thigh strain and is rated as doubtful for Saturday.

Midfielder Oscar Gobern is definitely out with an ankle problem but defender Paul Dixon has recovered from a knock sustained in training on Monday to be included in Grayson's plans.

Bristol City midfielders Marvin Elliott and Neil Kilkenny are back in training and will travel with the squad.

Elliott was an unused substitute in the defeat to Hull and may come into the starting line-up after missing the last six games, while Kilkenny is in contention for a place on the bench having recovered from a hamstring problem.

A sickness bug swept through the squad last weekend but the positive news for manager Derek McInnes is that Jody Morris, Stephen McManus and Steven Davies have all recovered.

McInnes looks set to be without centre-back James Wilson after the Wales Under-21 international was forced to miss Saturday's defeat with a stiff neck and back.

With fellow central defenders Liam Fontaine and Louis Carey ruled out, McInnes looks set to be light on defenders.

Greg Cunningham will not return until later this month so on-loan Fulham defender Matthew Briggs is expected to continue at left-back.
