Robins to bring back big guns

Huddersfield are expected to make plenty of changes for Friday's clash with Blackpool, but defender Joel Lynch remains doubtful.

Lynch sustained a knee injury in last week's draw at Blackburn and missed the Capital One Cup defeat at Hull in midweek when manager Mark Robins made 10 changes.

Robins has no new selection problems so the likes of skipper Peter Clarke, fellow defender Anthony Gerrard, midfielders Jonathan Hogg and Adam Clayton, plus strikers James Vaughan and Jonathan Stead are all likely to return to the starting line-up.

Danny Ward is hoping to shake off an ankle problem to return to contention and fellow winger Adam Hammill is also hoping to start as Huddersfield bid to extend their unbeaten home record.

Blackpool defender Bob Harris will miss out.

Harris has been told he needs an operation on a long-term shoulder problem and boss Paul Ince has confirmed he is likely to miss the next few months of action.

There is better news elsewhere for Ince, though, as he to tries to claim the three points which could see them return to the Sky Bet Championship summit ahead of Saturday's fixtures.

Midfielder Neal Bishop has recovered from the illness which forced him out of the starting line-up for last weekend's draw with fellow high-fliers Leicester.
