Vaughan in Terriers frame

Huddersfield striker James Vaughan is hoping to return to action in the home game against Blackburn.

Vaughan, sidelined since the end of January due to a calf injury, is expected to be included in Mark Robins' squad, but defender Anthony Gerrard remains doubtful due to a fractured toe that kept him out of the goalless midweek draw at Charlton.

Peter Clarke will continue if Gerrard misses out, while midfielder Jonathan Hogg hopes to retain his place after returning at Charlton following a calf injury.

Jonathan Stead, an unused substitute in midweek, is hoping to feature against his former club as Huddersfield bid for their first league win in three games.

Blackburn skipper Grant Hanley is the latest player in Gary Bowyer's squad to pick up an injury.

The centre-back came off in the second half of the 1-0 loss to Bournemouth, Rovers' third straight defeat, with Bowyer later disclosing the club feared he had sustained a hamstring tear.

Bowyer said the club would check on Hanley's central-defensive partner Matt Kilgallon (groin), central midfielder Tom Cairney (ankle) and winger Josh King (hamstring) on Thursday and Friday before determining their availability.

Dickson Etuhu and Ben Marshall (both ankle) remain sidelined while Bowyer could consider going back in to the loan market if Hanley's injury proves serious with Michael Keane and Liam Feeney having arrived at the end of last week.
