Blues sweating on duo
Huddersfield pair Jonathan Hogg and Martin Paterson are both doubtful for the home against former boss Lee Clark's Birmingham.
Midfielder Hogg was forced off in last week's defeat at Wigan due to a knee injury and could miss out. Oscar Gobern replaced him at the DW Stadium and is on standby.
Paterson missed out last week due to an arm injury and if he fails to make it Cristian Lopez could be included in the squad following his return from a loan spell at Shrewsbury as leading goalscorer James Vaughan sits out the last game of his three-match ban.
Town have won only one of their last eight matches in all competitions.
Jesse Lingard and Mitch Hancox are expected to be fit for struggling Birmingham.
Forward Lingard has missed City's last three matches due to a knee injury while left-back Hancox sat out of last weekend's disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Charlton due to illness.
David Murphy is to undergo a scan on his swollen knee and is again expected to miss out, along with Jonathan Spector (thigh), Neal Eardley (knee) and Akwasi Asante (hamstring).
Midfielder Wade Elliott serves the second game of his three-match suspension while recent signing Dariusz Dudka continues to build up his match fitness.
