Robins waits on Town trio

Huddersfield will hand fitness tests to Neil Danns, Danny Ward and Jermaine Beckford ahead of their final-day showdown with Barnsley.

Midfielder Danns has been sidelined with a toe injury, while winger Ward and striker Beckford have been missing with groin injuries, but boss Mark Robins could have all three available as the Terriers search for the point that will secure safety.

Anything less will see them sweating over other results, as the Tykes will overtake them in the standings on goal difference.

That would mean wins for Peterborough and Sheffield Wednesday and a draw for Millwall would send Town straight back into npower League One.

Midfielder Anton Robinson (anterior cruciate ligament) will not be fit until the start of next season, but there are no other selection worries for Robins.

Barnsley welcome back Stephen Dawson from suspension for their crunch relegation clash.

A win for David Flitcroft's side will see the Tykes leapfrog their opponents in the table and will secure an eighth campaign in English football's second tier, but a draw will leave them sweating on other results while a defeat would all-but consign them to League One.

Flitcroft can recall Dawson for the game after he completed his three-match ban following his dismissal in the 6-0 defeat to Charlton.

Fellow midfielders Jacob Mellis and Rory Delap could also be available. Mellis has recovered from a knock and should keep his place in the side, while Delap will undergo a fitness test on a calf problem.

Rob Edwards has recovered from a hamstring injury, but fellow defenders Jim McNulty (ankle) and Bobby Hassell (hamstring) remain sidelined.
