Hoyle calls on the fans for help

The Terriers, poised to announce new season-ticket prices, have launched a concerted promotion push this season, but Hoyle, millionaire owner of Wakefield-based greetings card retailer Card Factory, believes he cannot drive the club forward on his own.

Hoyle said: "We need to push on again and take further and bigger strides forward. I cannot stress enough that the development of this club can only continue with your support.

"While I will continue to put my hand in my pocket, those pockets are not bottomless - especially coupled with the investments required to pay transfer fees to bring in new players.

"I recognise that we cannot please everyone, but fans should take comfort that I won't compromise the future and sustainability of our club."

Hoyle added: "We are making steady progress. I'm prepared to do what it takes, but I cannot do it alone. This clubs needs your support. I need your support."
