Derek Fazackerley admits he regrets leaving a job half done at Huddersfield but could not turn down the chance offered him by Leicester. Former England, Manchester City and Newcastle coach Fazackerley has teamed back up with new Leicester boss Sven-Goran Eriksson at the Walkers Stadium and revealed the Foxes were "a year nearer the Premier League". Fazackerley told the Leicester Mercury: "I had no inclination this was going to happen but it was too good an opportunity to turn down. "The attraction is that Leicester are a year nearer in making the Premier League and there is tremendous potential under the new owners. "That is the thing with football, you never know where your destination is going to be. The only regret is that it (the City job) came at a difficult time because I felt we were halfway through something (at Huddersfield) and with a job to do. "But, for me, the attraction is that City are a year ahead in getting into the Premier League."
