Clarke closing in on Terriers return

The 21-year-old, equally at home in midfield, suffered a torn meniscus cartilage at the end of August that required surgery and has been sidelined since. Lee Clark told the club's offical website: "Tom is coming on fantastically following knee surgery. He is doing everything that is asked of him without any reaction. If that continues, he'll join back in with the group next week. "The only two injury concerns we have now are Robbie Simpson, who is coming on really well following his thigh problem, and Tom." Clarke, younger brother of Huddersfield centre-half Nathan, spent a month on loan at Bradford last season, but won his place back in the first team after returning to the Galpharm Stadium and was in manager Clark's starting line-up before the injury.
