Clark: We can handle pressure

Lee Clark has dismissed suggestions he and his players are struggling to cope with the pressure of being one of the favourites for automatic promotion. The Terriers were forced to face the flak after recent back-to-back defeats, with even Town chairman Dean Hoyle questioning the players' nerve ahead of last Saturday's home loss to Exeter. But Clark said: "I love the expectation level here. Everywhere I've been there have been high expectations. "I have huge expectations in myself so that's why the defeats hit me very hard. "From the team, to the supporters, to inside the club, to the managers there has always been that expectation, so this was a perfect set-up for me. "I put the expectations on myself, as I believe that I've put together one of the strongest sides in the division and that's why the expectations are there. The players know that and now we have to deliver on a more consistent basis."
