Clark salutes hungry Terriers

Lee Clark was thrilled with his players' display and said he never doubted their ability to mount a serious automatic promotion challenge after their 2-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday. First-half goals from Graham Carey and Anthony Pilkington were enough to keep Town in second place in the table, eight points behind leaders Brighton. Clark said: "I was absolutely delighted with the whole performance. In the first-half we showed fantastic rhythm and scored two great goals. In the second-half we were very resolute and defended well. "They showed a lot of desire and we could've ended up winning by more goals. I've never doubted my players. Even when we had a bad run, losing three games, my belief in them never wavered. "The lads are desperate to do well. We've got some hungry young players and the senior players are also working very hard. "When I looked to strengthen the squad in the summer, I didn't want players to come in for a last pay-day."
