Clark reserves special praise for winner

Huddersfield boss Lee Clark hailed the stunning matchwinning strike from Anthony Pilkington that proved the difference against Sheffield Wednesday. The visitors were felled by Pilkington's first-half long-range beauty, one of several the winger has curled in from distance this season. Clark said: "It was an effort that deserved to win any game. He hit it as sweet as a nut. Nicky Weaver is a top goalkeeper and it needed something special to beat him." Wednesday's Clinton Morrison, who had a stunning volley of his own ruled out for offside, was lucky not to concede an early penalty for handball early on. Of which Clark added: "From what the fourth official told me and from what I overheard from the Sky TV camera crew, the referee's view was obscured and that's why he didn't give it. "I'm not sure whether it was a penalty. I'm actually not that bothered as sometimes these things happen in football. You just have to accept it."
