Huddersfield have the strength in depth to fulfil Saturday's league clash with Bournemouth despite having three players away on international duty, according to manager Lee Clark.

Goalkeeper Alex Smithies has been included in the England Under-21s squad to face Portugal and Lithuania, midfielder Scott Arfield is expected to play a key role for Scotland Under-21s against Belarus and Austria and Graham Carey is a late call-up for the Republic of Ireland Under-21s.

Clark, keen to go ahead with Saturday's fixture despite having the option of having the game postponed, told the club's official website: "The fact that three players have been called up to their respective country's under-21 squad shows the quality of the footballers we have at this club and all three deserve a lot of credit.

"With Lee Peltier and Anthony Pilkington coming back from injury, we are keen to carry on the momentum we have from the weekend and we have options available in the squad that allows us to have a strong matchday 18 for what promises to be a tough game against AFC Bournemouth."
