Huddersfield boss Lee Clark hailed the "sensational" form of Anthony Pilkington following the 2-0 home win over promotion rivals Southampton. Pilkington, 22, who recently became a father for the first time, scored his fourth goal in three games and Joey Gudjonsson was also on target before the break. Clark said: "Anthony is starting to do what we brought him here to do. "He has had a change in his personal life with the birth of his first child and sometimes that makes a difference. "Since then he has been sensational and he has looked every inch the player we hoped he would be. He can play at the highest level." Clark was particularly delighted with Town's first-half showing and added: "From the first whistle we were outstanding both with the ball and without it. Our standards were very high."
