Clark downbeat after draw

Huddersfield manager Lee Clark could not hide his disappointment as his side's promotion hopes were dealt another blow after they threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Carlisle. Clark's side went two up thanks to goals from Peter Clarke and Scott Arfield, but Francois Zoko pulled one back for the Cumbrians and defender James Chester, on loan from Manchester United, headed an 82nd-minute equaliser. Clark, whose side have taken just one point from three games over the festive programme, said: "I'm very disappointed to be 2-0 up away from home and with the clock ticking down. "We've had a poor finish to the year and it showed. We got too deep. We couldn`t get outside our box and we allowed Carlisle to start putting crosses into the box where their lad (Gary) Madine was a massive threat." A big plus for the Huddersfield boss was the debut of experienced Republic of Ireland international Kevin Kilbane, signed on loan from Hull. Clark added: "He will play in central midfield. He's a great athlete, composed on the ball and he showed his qualities."
