Huddersfield manager Lee Clark was left extremely disappointed as his side were thrashed 4-0 by Carlisle in the first leg of their Johnstone`s Paint Trophy northern area final. First-half goals from Ben Marshall and Tom Taiwo were added to by headers from defenders Peter Murphy and Lubo Michalik midway through the second period to leave the Terriers with an uphill task in the second leg. Clark admitted: "It was an absolutely disastrous performance. "This is not a wake-up call, it's a car crash. We have to heed the warning and make sure it doesn't happen anymore. "It's very disappointing. We worked hard to get here within sight of Wembley and a performance like that is very hard to take. I accept total responsibility for it and have got to lift the players, which I will." "I will make sure improvement happens very quickly but it's looking good for Carlisle."
