Bennett signs new Terriers deal

Huddersfield goalkeeper Ian Bennett has signed a one-year contract extension that will keep him at the Galpharm Stadium until the summer of 2012.The 39-year-old, who joined the Terriers from Sheffield United in June, has made 14 appearances this season. [LNB]"It's great news for the club that he has agreed to stay," Town manager Lee Clark told the club website. [LNB]"He has been a very positive influence in the changing room thanks to his experience and knowledge." [LNB]Former Birmingham man Bennett added: "When the club approached me about a possible contract extension I was delighted. [LNB]"Huddersfield have exceeded all my expectations since I joined. I would love to see out my playing career here."
