Honduras beat Venezuela 2-0 in friendly

Carlo Costly scored twice in the second half to lift Honduras to a 2-0 victory over Venezuela in their friendly international match.

Costly on Wednesday scored in the 58th and 68th minutes, his first coming from a precision corner from Mario Martinez that he efficiently headed into the left side of Rafael Romo's goal.

In the 68th, Costly slotted home a shot off Jerry Bengtson's centering pass.

Jose Martinez had Venezuela's best scoring opportunity, but his 82nd-minute attempt from 18 yards out hit the left post.

A capacity crowd of 13,133 attended the game at Fort Lauderdale's Lockhart Stadium.
