Netherlands coach Marco van Basten is planning to make major changes to his team for the final Group C game against Argentina.
The match will decide who tops the group but, with the Oranje already guaranteed a place in the last 16, Van Basten intends to rest the six players who have picked up one yellow card.
"We don't want to take any risks with the next round in mind," he said.
"Where we think it will be a risk to start with certain players, we have to make a choice.
"Then there is no difference between strikers and defenders, strikers can get booked too."
Giovanni van Bronckhorst and John Heitinga were booked during the 1-0 win against Serbia & Montenegro, while Arjen Robben, Joris Mathijsen, Khalid Boulahrouz and Mark van Bommel all collected cautions during the 2-1 victory over Ivory Coast.
Phillip Cocu is also likely to sit out the game against Argentina because of an ankle problem.
