Holland's injury problems have eased enough for standby players Nigel De Jong and Stijn Schaars to be sent home by coach Marco van Basten.

The duo had been preparing for a late call-up with Rafael van der Vaart, Phillip Cocu and Wesley Sneijder struggling for full fitness, but all three are now back in training and ready to feature.

Press officer Kees Jansma confirmed: ""The medical staff of Oranje sees no reasons to change players in the 23-man selection.

"But the fact that Schaars and De Jong are sent home doesn't mean that all players are 100 per cent fit.

"However, the medical staff has complete trust in everyone being fit in time."

Mark van Bommel also has a slight knee injury, but the Barcelona ace's problem is not too serious, with Jansma adding: "He got a knock on his knee, but we don't have any worries about that injury."
