Melchiot doubt for opener

Holland defender Mario Melchiot is a major doubt for Monday's Group C opener against Italy after missing training with a pelvic injury.
The 31-year-old right-back missed Saturday's training session in Lausanne before the squad travelled to Berne to take on the reigning world champions.
The Wigan Athletic defender had only just returned to action after missing the last few weeks of the Premier League season with a groin injury.
Melchiot was taken to a local hospital for a scan but is rated as doubtful for the opening clash.
The Holland also take on France and AS Romania in a tough qualifying group.
