Kuyt confident of selection

Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt is confident of surviving the cut and making Netherlands coach Marco van Basten's final 23-man squad for Euro 2008.
The 27-year-old has been named in a provisional squad for the forthcoming tournament in Austria and Switzerland alongside Anfield team-mate Ryan Babel.
Reports in Holland have suggested the former Feyenoord striker could miss out on final selection, but Kuyt believes he has the necessary qualities to make it into van Basten's definitive squad.
Kuyt, who is often employed in a wide role for both club and country, found the net just 11 times in 48 appearances for the Reds this season.
"If I show the same here as I did in the recent months at Liverpool, I don't have to worry," he told the club's official website.
"I think I will be a part of the squad. I am convinced that I can be important to my country. Few players can be compared to me style-wise."
