Wotherspoon plans some home hurt

Hibernian midfielder David Wotherspoon hopes to upset his family this weekend by inflicting defeat on St Johnstone at Easter Road. Perth-born Wotherspoon is a St Johnstone fan, but is looking to deepen the gloom on Derek McInnes' side, who lost five in a row before securing victory over Aberdeen last weekend, by helping Hibs to return to winning ways in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League. Despite the uncertainty over this weekend's fixtures - something which ended on Thursday with the Scottish Football Association confirming foreign officials will be used in place of striking domestic referees - Wotherspoon has been fielding phone calls from family and friends eager to see Hibs meet Saints in the capital. "I've had a few phone calls asking for tickets - I'm looking forward to it," said Wotherspoon. "My brother keeps me on track with them. I like to see them doing well, but we're playing against them this week so we hope to get three points. "I've looked at the past few results and they've not scored that many goals. We'll be looking to shut up shop at the back and try and get some goals at the other end."
