Goalkeeper Smith's contract at Fir Park expires in the summer, and he has been heavily linked with a move to Easter Road.[LNB]But the 25-year-old has not ruled out staying put or even going somewhere other than Hibs to further his ambitions.[LNB]He said: "If Hibs want to make contact with me then fair enough. Motherwell made me an offer a year ago; that's still an option for me and one I'm still thinking over.[LNB]He makes it clear, though, that he the overall potential of the club will be most important to him.[LNB]"I want to achieve as much as I can in football," Smith added.[LNB]"Playing in Europe this season, even though it was only two games, was good because it was a stage I felt comfortable on.[LNB]"Once you start doing it at that level then people start looking at you in a different light - you're not just an SPL player - and I want to be recognised as a higher-quality player than people think I am at the moment.[LNB]"The only way for that to happen is for me to play in those big occasions - I won't get there by performing against the bottom six in the SPL.[LNB]"I haven't ruled anything out. If staying here is best for me then that's what I'll do. But I'm also prepared to move to England or abroad - ultimately, it all depends on who wants you.[LNB]"I'd love to be at a place where I could challenge the Old Firm and really get right in about them. I don't believe Celtic and Rangers have a God-given right to the top two positions."[LNB][LNB]
