Hibs striker a wanted man Watford and Crystal Palace have today been linked with a move for out-of-contract Hibs striker Derek Riordan. The 28-year-old is in the last few months of his deal at Easter Road, but is due to hold talks with Colin Calderwood after the last game of the season about an extension to hid deal. Riordan, of course, is free to talk to clubs now about a pre-contract agreement, and it’s understood the two Championship clubs are keen on the Scotland forward. A move to Houston Dynamo was turned down a couple of weeks ago by the player, but the MLS side are still keen on the former Celtic player. Two clubs in Turkey are also said to be keen on signing Riordan, but as yet, no offer has been made. Riordan is now in his second spell with the Hibees after returning in a £400,000 deal in 2008. He has made over 200 appearances for the club, scoring 106 goals.
